Double Fatal Crash Investigation *VICTIMS IDENTIFIED – Further investigation revealed that the driver of a 2006 Honda Civic was traveling westbound on Prince William Pkwy between York Dr/Summerland Dr and the I-95 northbound on ramp at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The Civic then veered across the median onto the eastbound side of the roadway and struck a 2001 Mitsubishi Mirage traveling in the eastbound lanes.

The driver of the Civic and a passenger of the Mirage were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Mirage was flown to an area hospital with life threatening injuries and is expected to recover. It is unknown at this time if alcohol and drugs are a factor. The investigation continues.
