Lee Selby's latest world title defence has been confirmed for the Carl Frampton-Leo Santa Cruz undercard, live on Sky Sports.

The IBF world featherweight champion takes on Jonathan Victor Barros at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas, on Saturday, January 28.

It will be Selby's (23-1-KO8) first fight for 10 months and the 'Welsh Mayweather' is looking forward to getting back in the mix and taking a giant stride towards an all-British unification fight with Frampton, who defends his WBA 'Super' belt in a rematch with Santa Cruz.

"I can't wait to get in there again," Selby told Sky Sports.

"I've been expecting it since before Christmas and for some reason they've left it until the last minute but I don't know why and I don't care, the main thing is I am on it.

"It is one hell of a card but winning will set up a big fight between me and Frampton - that's the one Britain wants to see next.

"But there's me defending my world title against a former world champion and Mikey Garcia taking on [Dejan] Zlaticanin, which will be a great fight."

Barros (41-4-1-KO22) is a former world featherweight champion and the mandatory challenger has been in with some of the best fighters at 126lbs.

The Argentinian pushed Yuriorkis Gamboa the distance in his first world title shot back in 2010 and then won and lost to Celestino Caballero, when he was the WBA champion.

Barros's last defeat was at the hands of Garcia, who is on the same Las Vegas bill, and he is promising to give Selby his toughest test as a world champion.

"I have worked hard to put myself in this position and I am going to make the most of it," he said.

"Selby has never faced anyone as dangerous as me and I plan on making it a long night for him. I am going to become another Argentine world champion and bring the…
