The Big 5 Outdoor Design & Build Show 2017 will conduct 11 free CPD-certified workshops that will address compelling topics and issues related to urban development and landscaping.

The education agenda will be based on three themes, for each day of the show. Day one will cover Design, followed by a general overview of the industry on day two, and closing with sustainability and smart-related topics on the third day.

Leading experts from the region will host these sessions including vice president of design DXB Entertainments, Mornè Fourie.

Principal landscape architect at SSH, Boris Fabinski will assess how to facilitate walkability and outdoor activities in existing city landscapes.

“Design contributes significantly to Dubai’s on-going prosperity and attractiveness to international business,” says speaker Rakesh Pardasani, partner at RSM Dahman of Audit Accounts Advisory.

“Shows like these are great business platforms for build, construction, and innovation.”

He will speak on VAT Considerations on the Design & Build Industry on the second day of the talks.

An analysis of leveraging BIM for landscape and urban design will be offered by Christopher Smeaton, BIM manager of landscape, urban planning & design, InSite.

Sameer Kulkarni, executive director of Dubai Properties, will highlight consolidating sustainability into the practical context by assessing financial incentives.
