If you’re like me, there are lots of little things that you don’t immediately get about Mass Effect: Andromeda. It’s not that they’re complicated or hard to understand, it’s that the game doesn’t take time to explain some of its intricacies to you. This leaves you to either guess what to do, or figure it out via trial and error. Or you Googled it and ended up here. Either way, I’m here to help, so here’s a quick guide on how to use consumables in Mass Effect: Andromeda.

Consumables, in case you weren’t paying attention earlier, are useful little items that you can pick up or buy throughout your adventures in Mass Effect: Andromeda. As the name suggests, these are consumed upon use, so they are one-time bonuses, though you should have a bunch on hand at any time. These consumables can give you special ammo, or a shield boost, or any number of other effects, so how do you use them?

You have to bring up the weapon selection wheel, which will display them at the bottom, below your normal weapons. This can be done by pressing Tab on PC, View on Xbox One (the left middle button where Select used to be), and the Touchpad on PS4. Pressing any of these will bring up the weapon wheel where the consumables are, then you…

As much as I love PC gaming, it isn't perfect. I do enjoy that I can fall into a game like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive or World of Warcraft for months at a time, becoming invested in a way that simply doesn't happen when I play console games. However, when you talk about AAA single-player experiences, the circumstance isn't quite as positive. Read more on…

Andrea Reed has always had a passion for art and designs. A few years after graduating high school in 2009, she combined makeup and art to give herself a more challenging canvas: her own lips. Fast forward to 2017, and a pixelated lip design Reed created last year called "Defragmentation" was featured in Mass Effect: Andromeda, one of the year's biggest and most anticipated video games. A week from now, you should think about popping Titanfall 2 back in -- even if only for a few rounds. Respawn Entertainment is bringing out Colony Reborn, based on the dense town center map from the original game, as well as the R-101 with an ACOG scope and a nasty "curb check" execution. That's all coming for free next Friday, along with some paid Titan cosmetics for Northstar and Legion. Whenever I see trailers like this for multiplayer games, I count my sweet blessings that…

April is a solid month for Xbox's Games with Gold program, but not in the way it usually is. Typically, of the four free titles, there are one or two standouts that makes the whole month a success. That's not quite what's happening here. Instead, April has four games that draw some degree of enthusiasm, just not an overwhelming amount. That's fine though! These services don't always need to all bangerz. Sometimes they do just as well to offer titles that you're interested in but…

Tags: Early Access, Indie Game, Survival, Itch.io I keep a keen eye on 'MewnBase' [itch.io] as it's a cute and simple survival game about a space cat trying to survive on a barren planet. It's had a few big updates recently to know about. First of all, the game now has a weather system. So you can expect to see rain and sandstorms. Sandstorms are particularly troublesome as they end up covering your solar panels, which you need to power your oxygen supply. When you start a new game,…
