Averaging 25 points and having led Pasadena to a 4-0 record in the Pacific League, 6-foot-4 junior Bryce Hamilton is making himself a player to watch.

His father, Kevin, played basketball at Crenshaw and UTEP. His cousins are the Hamiltons brothers _ Jordan, Isaac and Daniel.

And on Wednesday, he continued his consistent play, scoring 27 points in Pasadena's 64-60 win over Burbank. Darius Mason and Darius Brown also made major contributions for the Bulldogs. Brown made two free throws with 4.7 seconds left to clinch the victory.

The left-handed Hamilton scored 12 points in the first quarter when Pasdena came back from a 12-1 deficit. He's known as a gym rat who spends lots of time after practice working on his shot.

"He's a throwback," Coach Tony Brooks said. "He's always looking to improve."

In the East Valley League, Avo Danielian scored 38 points, making seven threes, in Grant's 62-51 win over Verdugo Hills. North Hollywood defeated Monroe, 47-33.

In the West Valley League, Birmingham rolled to a 94-36 win over Cleveland. EJ Bushner and Mark Boland each had 15 points. Devonaire Doutrive had 20 points and Devante Doutrive added 17.

El Camino Real defeated Granada Hills, 56-46. Troy Biglow scored 21 points. Taft defeated Chatsworth, 76-60.

In the Western League, Ethan Anderson scored 25 points, Kirk Smith 17 and Jamal Hartwell 16 as Fairfax defeated University,…
