A week after the entire teams from Spruce and Lincoln knelt in protest during the national anthem, no entire teams followed suit Friday.  The entire Spruce team stood together at the back of the end zone during the anthem this week.

For teams taking a knee during the national anthem, decision wasn't made lightly

The biggest display of protest was by Garland Lakeview, which had 18 players kneel during the anthem before Friday's game against Sachse at Homer B. Johnson Stadium. Teammates showed support by placing hands on the shoulders of those kneeling.
