The next-generation Mercedes-Benz A-Class is expected to be launched in 2018, but an eagle-eyed reader has already sent us these spy images from Namibia.

Reader Wessel van Wyk snapped these photographs of the new camouflaged A-Class undergoing testing in Swakopmund.

The images confirm that the new A-Class hatchback – which is expected to run on a modified version of the automaker’s MFA platform (likely called MFA2) – will stick with the general dimensions of the current model, although rumours suggest it will boast a slightly longer wheelbase in order to create more space in the cabin and luggage area.

Regardless of its exact size, we can expect the new model to adopt the Stuttgart brand’s latest design language, as previewed by the “Aesthetics A” sculpture revealed at the start of the year. The images also suggest that the side mir…

Porsche has announced the availability of a new performance kit for the 911 S range, bumping up the power for a number of 911 models (Carrera S, 4S and Targa 4S). The power increase for these models comes in at 22 kW, which interestingly puts it in line with the newly launched GTS's output of 331 kW. This is achieved through a set of larger turbochargers, dynamic engine bearings and a sports exhaust (the latter with two central tailpipes in a unique design). Modified brake cooling is also…

The Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet is a rather rapid open-top sportscar in standard form, but that hasn't stopped TechArt from making it even faster. The result is the GTstreet R Cabriolet. The first thing you'll likely notice about this tuned cabriolet is the bold, carbon-fibre-heavy body kit, which features new front and rear bumpers, side skirts and a prominent (adjustable) rear wing. The redesign is finished off with a set of 20-inch TechArt Formula IV Race centre-lock alloy wheels and…

Cellphone footage filmed in the United States shows a BMW Z3 Convertible driver punching out the window of a pick-up, before giving its occupant a faceful of pepper spray. It's not clear exactly what sparked the road rage incident near Daytona Beach, since the video starts with the bakkie driver climbing back into his vehicle. But then the Z3 driver skips over, smashing his fist through the side window of the bakkie (on his second attempt), before pepper-spraying the other motorist in the…
