The iconic ThinkPad series will be celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, and parent company Lenovo is celebrating it big by bringing a major overhaul to the venerable series.

As a part of the CES announcements, Lenovo has now revealed that ThinkPad X1 Carbon laptop, ThinkPad X1 Tablet and ThinkPad X1 Yoga 2-in-1 devices will be receiving a major update in terms of design as well as performance.

All the three devices have now been made slimmer and thinner than ever before, and Lenovo has also managed to cut down the weight of the devices considerably along the process. ThinkPad X1 has also got its battery capacity upped despite having its sizes trimmed down.

Along with the design upgrades, the three devices also now come with better power, thanks to the addition of Intel’s seven-generation Kaby Lake processors. The processor now offers better speed with the devices, and also offers better GPU integration. The latter also brings in support for 4K video.
